Easy Angel Food Cheesecake Dessert With Strawberries
If you are needing a recipe for a crowd, this angel food cheesecake dessert can easily be doubled or tripled. This one was served with fresh strawberries, but you could swap them out for another berry or fruit.
Some other fruit options that would work well with this recipe would be,
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
- Mango
- Peach
- Banana
It was made using a store bought angel food cake as sometimes you just do not want to heat the kitchen when it is 98 degrees outside.
However, if you are not worried about heating up the kitchen and taking more time to make, you could use a simple angel food boxed cake mix. The box mixes do call for a tube pan. If you are looking for a lower-carb option check out this Keto Low Carb Angel Food Cake Recipe.
For this cheesecake dessert, you can make it little single serving dishes like you see pictured here. Or if you just want to make it as a dish to take to a party or something, you can make one large one in a trifle bowl.
Making This Cheesecake Dessert:
Start by cutting the angel food cake into about one-inch chunks. You also want to wash and dice the strawberries.
Then in a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese until smooth. After it is smooth, mix cream cheese, pudding mix, and milk and beat until smooth.
Then add half of the whipped topping and mix until fully combined.
To put the dessert together you want to start with a layer of angel food cake chunks. Then add the filling cheesecake mixture.
Then add strawberries and top with whipped cream. If you are making it the large bowl and not single serve, you will want to keep doing layers. Then top it with whipped cream.
Tip:
For the small dishes, you can add the mixture with a spoon. But if you want it to also look good, the best way to achieve that is to use a pastry bag to add the filling and the whipped cream.
By using a bag, you will get the look as you see in the pictures here.
