How many shots this pudding shots recipe makes will depend on how large of a serving you want to have. If using standard shot glasses you will get about 24 servings from this recipe.

However, if you use the 2 oz small plastic containers with tops you will get about 16 servings of this jello shots recipe. I do like the containers with the lid though because it makes them easy to store and stack.

Before serving we did top this Jello shots recipe with whipped cream and slices of strawberry. But that is totally optional. If you just want to keep it really easy for say a pool party, just skip the topping and store it in the plastic containers with lids.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1/2 Cup of Water
  • 6-8 Strawberries, sliced, optional
  • 1 (3 oz) Box Strawberry Jello
  • 1/3 Cup Strawberry Vodka
  • 1/4 Cup Strawberry Vodka
  • 1 (3.4 oz) Box Instant Cheesecake Pudding
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • Whipped Cream, optional

How To Make Strawberry Cheesecake Pudding Jello Shots Recipe:

In a large glass measuring cup add water and place in the microwave for about a minute and a half or until it boils.

Remove from microwave and add strawberry gelation. Stir until powder is fully dissolved. Set aside and let cool.

While the Jello mix is cooling you can mix the pudding. Add milk and pudding to a mixing bowl and stir until it thickens. When it becomes thick, add 1/3 cup vodka and mix well. Place bowl in the fridge.

When the Jello mix has cooled to room temp, pour 1/4 cup of the vodka into the mix and stir well.

Pour mixture into 24 (or less if larger containers) shot glasses or small plastic containers with tops. The containers should be filled halfway.

Pop them into the fridge to set up and chill for at least 1 hour. I find it is easiest if you set them on a cookie sheet. It makes it easier to carry.

When the Jello has set up, fill the other half of the glasses with the cheesecake pudding. Then cover and leave in the fridge until ready to serve.

Before serving, top the shots with whipped cream and strawberry slices.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pudding Shots:

Q. Can this be made in other flavors other than strawberry?
A. Yes! Simply use any flavor of Jello you want. Then you can also use that flavor of vodka. If there is no flavor of that vodka, you can use just normal vodka if you want.

Q. Can these be made ahead of a party?
A. Yes! These can be made the day before if you want. However, I would not make them much more than a day ahead.

Q. What if I wanted to make this a red white and blue treat?
A. Make it just the same but garnish the top with a few blueberries in place of the strawberries.
